Hello, I'm Nea Arthur, housemate of Laura and Jerry Cluney for six years.

Last year, I asked you ll for help providing for the care of my housemate, Laura Cluney, as she needed to be placed into hospice care due to Alzheimers related deterioration that outstripped me and her husband's ability to care for her at home.

Laura Cluney has been in hospice care for 16 months now, with your help. We are truly grateful, having not expected to be able to spend this amount of time with her, but as time goes on, so does the cost of her care. We were supposed to be reimbursed for a portion of our expenses by MediCal, but as time goes on this seems perpetually months away.

To give her the quality of life she deserves, we have been spending between 1200 and 1600 dollars on her care, every month. We have run completely out of the money provided from the original campaign, and are dipping into personal savings that will not last long.

Laura deserves to be taken care of and comforted during the last months of her life. This Gofundme is to ensure that.

We do not know how long she will be with us, so I have set a goal at a year- about what I had set the original gofundme at, but with a better idea of the costs involved.

Her husband, Jerry Cluney, is on a fixed income from social security. I am currently unemployed.

$1,200 a month, over 12 months, is about $14,400. Any extra will go towards paying off credit cards and bills, and otherwise addressing Jerry and Laura's needs.
