DriftAbility is a once a year event in western Australia that provides members of the disabled community a day of drifting just for them.
With the aid of our drivers volunteers and sponsors we take over Wanneroo raceway and burn some serious rubber. No matter the ability we get everyone in for a ride, with the option of taking it easy and only having one car on the track or going full send and opting for a battle run. We at DriftAbility believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the adrenaline rush of drifting.
Over the past 3 years our event has grown exponentially in our founding year we had only 50 participants by year 3 we had 150, coming to us from all over Western Australia.
Every year we run a fundraising campaign to cover the costs of the event with all remaining finds donated to the ability centre.
This year we had the privilege of joining Mason and his family at the ability centre on a very special day, Mason received his explorer mini that was funded with the proceeds of DriftAbility.
Mason is a beautiful 18 month old whom now has the ability to move around and join in with his peers, not only that but the design means it will help strengthen Masons legs and assist with his motor control. Getting this so early on will make a huge difference to Masons ongoing development.
We are so happy we could help make this happen and look forward to seeing how Mason continues to develop.
