Medical Expenses and Travel Home to USA

Those of you who know Lino/Boy Arquillano, know that he is the most generous, kind man around. Always willing to help when needed, but will rarely ever ask for help himself. Well, now he and his children need our help. Lino/Boy travelled to the Philippines recently, as he does, but this time, he became unexpectedly ill. What they thought would be a quick check up the ER, ended becoming a lot more. Following some testing, Lino/Boy was found to have a cancerous mass in his descending colon, and shortly after, began having other issues (difficulty breathing, kidney function issues, which then affected his lungs and heart). He is currently intubated in the ICU, had surgery with some additional findings, but we will let his family share further details of his condition with you, upon request. Carlo has been with Lino/Boy for a couple weeks (along with Lino’s sisters, thankfully) and Christine is now on a flight to relieve him so he can return to work. Cathy will travel shortly after, to relieve Christine, so she can come back to work. They will take the rest day by day. But as you can imagine, this has been extremely taxing and stressful, to say the least. Because he is a US citizen with Medicare, his total hospital stay is completely out of pocket. He and his children have been having to pay upwards of $1500-$2500 per day, depending on the day (dialysis, procedures, etc). Thankfully, they already had several family and friends contribute to his care, but continue to face this challenge and funds are depleting rapidly. The ultimate goal is for him to become stable enough to fly back to the US, where he can continue his care under his earned Medicare and Insurance benefits. If you are able and willing, please feel free to contribute to this wonderful man and his children. They need our help desperately and are too proud to ask for it. So we will be their village and make it happen. If you can’t contribute monetarily, please continue to pray for his healing, so that he can, at least, travel back back here to the US.
