Jen’s Journey
Donation protected
Jennifer is a vibrant, energetic mom of two, who has designated her life caring for others as a pediatric nurse. Now it is our turn to care for her.
A little over 1 month ago, Jen noticed some changes, which intimately led her to getting a mammogram and the diagnosis of breast cancer. After a series of tests, it is concerned that in addition to breast cancer, the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes, skin, skull and possibly her meninges and spinal cord. Additional testing is needed, but what we do know is that Jen has the MOST rare and aggressive form of cancer. Less than 5% of breast cancers are this specific type, and thus, her treatment plan is complicated and severe.
Right now, doctors are hoping to enroll Jen in a clinical trial in New York City, in addition to the chemotherapy originally planned. It is estimated that she will need at least a year of treatment, if not more.
As you can imagine, Jen is not able to work through this. The treatments alone are time consuming, and her body cannot handle the slightest chance of illness. For a nurse who is used to caring for others, this is devastating! Jay continuous to be a constant source of support, both emotionally and financially, but he has been forced to take time off work to go to appointments and stay home with Ella and Ava.
Jen would never ask for help, but is always the first person to give help. Your financial donations are greatly appreciated, and will be used to offset the cost of whatever is needed for Jen and her family. In addition to financial donations, your prayers and encouragement are just as important!
On behalf of the Price Family, thank you for your ongoing support.
Please feel free to reach out to Jenna Collier Zerbe or Lyndsay Gardner for questions, ideas or concerns.
