Hi, my name Larisa Olinghouse. Life is wild, you never know what’ll come up. This year, my husband and I got to celebrated our 22 years of marriage in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Which is where I am surfing in this picture. The recent info is that the Doctors said I have to go through chemo and such again. My children have had very different response: My oldest is compassionate yet matter of fact, because she remembers the 1st time, encouraging: “God lead you once, He didn’t change, you and God got this”. My other two have only a slight recollection of this journey. My youngest has asked every teacher at his school to pray. While, my middle child is looking for ways to help, like showing me encouraging songs and taking charge of the youngest when she can. My Husband has Faith and supports me in all I do. But as life would have it, you can’t pay for medical stuff with Faith checks. At this point I have had 3 surgeries in the last 2 months to remove the cancer, all in Springfield which is about a 3.5 hour drive. (That is where I happened to have had my last surgery for this 9 years ago, so that’s where I went back to). My next step is Chemo. The Oncologist here is Tulsa has plans to run another round on the same chemo drugs minus the Adriamycin. (Because you can only have that particular chemo once in a lifetime). What the oncologist has decided is probably a good plan, but since the cancer came back after the 1st time… I just am really wishing there was other options. It just shows that we just don’t have enough conclusive research on Breast Cancer in general. So, my boss at work gave me an idea to seek out a 2nd opinion, which I had not thought of yet concerning an Oncologist. So I have an appointment at MD Anderson in Houston the 1st week in January; and on Sunday Nov 26th 2023 I fly out to Chicago to Cancer Treatment Centers of America. They have been really great so far at Cancer Treatment Centers of America and helped with a lot of arrangements. However, all of this takes money. My quest is to see if someone has an answer in eradicating this disease. I have a theory that Immunotherapy might be effective and would like to try that direction out, but only with wise counsel. So questions concerning Immunotherapy is what I will be asking the Oncologist in Chicago on Monday. I am unclear how much out of pocket expenses this is going to intel. At this current moment I believe 15,000 to be conservative so I set the goal at 20,000.

Just like every cancer patient I just want answers and solutions. God is my source but I know He uses the hands of people. God is my Healer! And I do believe science is a tool that we can offer as wisdom. It’s like anything else we learn in life; by trial and error. If you are able to come alongside me financially, my family and I would be very grateful. If you have other suggestions on how I can raise money for all of this let me know.

Just a little side note about me, it’s kind of funny…but I don’t mind discovery with God what my next steps are; I enjoy finding Him in the information I collect along the way. I am searching like scripture say: It’s the glory of a God to conceal a matter, and it’s the glory of a King to seek it out. And that’s what I intend to do. Thanks for your support and consideration.
