infox - My College Project

Hi, I am Naresh from Kathmandu, Nepal. I am a 1st year bachelor student. We have different faculties in our college and I noticed that there is a lack of communication and friendship between the student of different faculty ( Computing, Networking, Multimedia, BBA ) . They only communication with their own-faculty student. They might want to know the other student of college but due to lack of communication gap it's was pretty hard. Since, I am a Computing student I had something on my mind. So, I have created an android app which provide the details of each and every students of our college and they can search any student of entire college just by typing student first name of last name.





I have even added the social links of each students so that they can even get connected socially after the college. All the student information I have added are all public information of each student, I have just gathered those information together to make it an app.

I have already made the infox version 1.0 and it's on every student phone of our college and they are really happy with the app because they can search any student they want and they can even get the photos of each student so that it will be even easier to identify the student.

Currently, I have only hosted the app on the URL and I have added Android WebView function to fetch the URL and display on the app. It's because of lack of time. I am using a free hosting server inorder to host and work with the student data. As every semester student semester, year get updated so I have to work on the upgrades and even Facebook has made certain changes on their Graph API so it's bit difficult to get the student image also.

One of the best things about the app is, I have even recorded the search query to find our the most searched student and every week I update the "Top Search Of The Week" section which contain the most searched 5 student names and probably most of them are girls.

I am here to raise fund for my new Version ( infox Version 2.0 ) . This time, I will be adding new features and many more features like searching from Faculty, Group, Section & many more. It's very important for me to raise some fund because I need to upgrade the app from time to time and need to work on API so I need some dedicated server for better performance of the app. Currently, I do not own any Google Play account so our college student download it from custom URL. As semester has come to an end so I am planing to make an complete Android App of it so that It would be very easy for student to download, install and run the app smoothly and freely.
