Hope for Rick and Jay
Donation protected
Jay and Rick are two amazing men that have been together for 30 years and have helped to raise their nephew and 2 nieces with the love and support, similar to that of a father. Their dogs are their home companions that they live to care for daily as if they were their children. Their grand niece, Chloe, has been their beacon of hope and a shinning light. Their love for family and friends goes beyond words.
Jay was diagnosed with bladder cancer 2 years ago and has battled complications relating to the disease and its treatments. Rick and family have been his support. In May of 2015 Rick was diagnosed with lung cancer that has metastasized to his brain. Together they are rocks, supporting each other and working through treatments, their reactions to them, doctors appointments, and the news that comes with them. Some news is good, most is not.
Rick retired in 2014 from a life long profession as an educator to take care of Jay. The around the clock care and support that is needed when someone has been informed they have cancer has been emotionally, physically and financially draining on them both. Jay, who spent many years in the Berkshires and surrounding areas, as a hair stylist began to dedicate his time to fight this disease. His loyal clients from over the years have been wonderfully understanding and have tried their best to support in any way they can.
They are a couple that consistently gives to others and support whomever has needs. They have always put others misfortunes before their. If you are willing, please help them with anything you can afford to give.
All donations will be used to ease the burden of daily expenses to help Rick and Jay focus on their health. THEIR pride hates to ask but their family knows friends would love to give back to Jay and Rick.
We want to thank you for your love, support and prayers as Rick and Jay face their battles against cancer with courage and dignity.
