Flight To End Polio
All the way around the world in a single engine aircraft to raise funds for polio eradication! Only 270 people living today have accomplished this risky feat!
While polio has been eradicated in the US, it still exists! No child anywhere is safe until every child has been vaccinated.
Pilots Peter Teahen and John Ockenfels are raising awareness for polio eradication with this flight, taking off from Cedar Rapids, Iowa on May 5, 2023 in a Cessna T210M (single engine) airplane. Along the way, they will encourage support of ending polio forever throughout the world.
Fly with us! Donate today!
The Gates Foundation will match every dollar you donate 2:1. So if you donate $1, that turns into $3. The pilots, Peter Teahen and John Ockenfels are covering the entire cost of the flight as well as taking time away from their careers and lives to help end polio. Both Peter and John are pilots, active Rotary members, and members of the Fellowship of Flying Rotarians. Visit our website for the full story and a flight map.
