Our amazing Year 6 House Captains, Vice Captains, and Y6 children (and their families) at St Martin and St Mary’s School are taking on Summits for School — a parent-led big sponsored fell challenge on Sunday 14 June 2026.

Each house will take on their Lakeland giant - Helvellyn, Skiddaw, Bowfell and Great Gable - cheering each other on and pushing for the top together. And once we reach the summit? We’ll be waving the school flag and capturing an unforgettable photo… in swimming hats and goggles to show exactly what we’re fundraising for!

This day is all about team spirit, resilience and personal challenge - the unbeatable feeling of saying “we did it!” at the top. It’s a chance for our Year 6s to create a lasting memory and legacy before they move on to secondary school.

We’re raising money for our school pool fund, helping us improve our facilities so more children in our school community and beyond can learn to swim safely and confidently.
