Michael’s Medical And Recovery Support

Our dear friend, Michael DiTraglia, (father of Gabriella, entering her sophomore year of college and Roman, entering his sophomore year of high school), was recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.

I have known Michael since I was six years old and over the years have become more and more in awe of his gifts. Michael is a true renaissance man- poet, songwriter, author, musician , athlete and hands down the best damn storyteller I know, able to bring me to tears of knowing laughter and poignant sorrow with his tales and reminiscences. The news of his disease has shocked us all, his friends and family.  We are all grappling with how we can help Michael during this challenging time and this fund raising is one such effort.  

The path to recovery will require multiple chemotherapy and other treatments, stretching over many months. Michael will be out of work during this period and his disability policy only covers a portion of his salary. Funds raised  here will go towards medical and other expenses and will provide needed financial support so that Michael can concentrate his energy on his recovery. 

As his friends and family know, Michael is a kind, creative and caring person whose love and friendship (and stories!) have enriched all of us. Please help us help Michael and his kids during this challenging time.
