Send Fresno shelter dogs - Portland

Greetings dog lovers! 

My name is Shannon Willson. I have been posting fundraisers and sending Central Valley dogs to Portland (with the assistance of MANY others) since January 1, 2015. 

The dogs primarily come from the Fresno County shelter (Fresno Humane Animal Services) but some come from other rescues or even community members who need a place to send a dog they have rescued or cannot continue to keep. The County shelter fills up quickly and the new contractors work VERY hard to save as many dogs as possible. Every dog that we can send to Portland frees up space for the new dogs coming in. 

The dogs go to an amazing rescue in Portland - Family Dogs New Life Shelter. Go check out their site and you will see what I mean! The dogs are almost always adopted the week after they arrive - they arrive on a Saturday, have their picture taken and settle in, are posted online on Thursday and adoptions begin on that following Saturday.

The money you donate pays for spay / neuter / transport of these deserving dogs and is MUCH appreciated, as it costs approximately $200.00 per dog to accomplish this feat.
