Supporting Tami Carlson in Her Cancer Journey
03.09.2026 Update from Tami:
I had new scans completed at the end of February. There is no new growth or spreading of the tumors, so the cancer remains stable at this time. I will continue the targeted therapy. New scans in 4 months. Thank God!!
Side effects remain the same - fatigue, joint pain, and some tummy issues occasionally. All treatable with medication. Overall, I'm doing well and still working FT. I am blessed with a great company to work for and supportive friends. Love ya!!! And take care of you!! Love, Tami

08/01/2025 UPDATE:
Here's the latest as of 8/1. CT shows the tumors in my right lung and lymph nodes are inactive. The four brain tumors are stable with no metastasis. So, good news, essentially. I had prayed the tumors in the brain had shrunk or were resolved, but I'll keep praying. Things are tight with more medical bills and regular bills piling up. Thankfully, the chemo meds are inexpensive. We could benefit from cash donations, meal donations, prayer, or positive vibes, even just a share of this post.
Cliff is still unable to work due to his work comp injury to his back 3 years ago. And the work comp company cut off his payments at the end of November. Still fighting with them.
I start back on the chemo meds on Monday. I'm praying the side effects I had at the higher dose do not appear with the new lower dose. I tend to miss work when they occur. Any help, prayers, and good wishes would be appreciated. I just keep fighting the good fight and pray to come out with "NED" - no evidence of disease soon!! Love you all! Take care of you!!! - Tami

03/29/2025 UPDATE:
This week was a rough one. I had a brain MRI on Monday which showed that the original spot in my right frontal lobe is resolved. However, there are four new spots, three in the frontal lobe and one in the thalamus. These are not operable.
This is not great news. My oncologist is stopping immunotherapy and will start targeted therapy. I have a rare genetic mutation that should, key word should, respond to these two new drugs. I will be having a PET scan soon as well to see if the cancer has spread anywhere else or if it's grown.
I will have another brain MRI in two months to see if the targeted therapy is working.

The good news is that I had another endoscopy on Wednesday. They were able to dilate the esophagus, and I can start eating food again. I need to take it slow and start with soft foods. Once I am able to eat and maintain sufficient calories, the feeding tube comes out!!

Again, thank you to everyone that checks in on me and to those who keep me in your prayers! I really appreciate you all! Take care and love you!! ❤️
Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend and coworker, Tami Carlson. Tami is an incredible person who brings a positive attitude and compassion to everything she does. Just last May, Tami experienced the heartbreaking loss of her daughter, Amber. In the wake of this tragedy, she has taken on the care of her two beautiful granddaughters, Aria (6 years old) and Ava (3 years old), showing unwavering love and resilience as she steps into this new role.

On October 23rd, Tami received yet another devastating piece of news: she is now facing stage 3 non-small cell lung cancer, also known as Lung Adenocarcinoma. This is an aggressive form of lung cancer and will require a rigorous treatment plan, beginning with chemotherapy and radiation, followed by at least a year of immunotherapy.

Tami’s Battle

Since her diagnosis, Tami has shown incredible strength and courage. Despite everything she has faced, she continues to approach each day with determination and grace. However, the financial strain of medical bills, treatments, and daily expenses is overwhelming, especially as she raises her two growing granddaughters.

To help ease this burden, I’ve set up a GoFundMe page to support Tami as she navigates this challenging time.

The funds raised will directly support Tami as she faces the demands of her diagnosis. Your contributions will help cover essential costs, including medical treatments, hospital visits, medications and therapies not fully covered by insurance, as well as daily living expenses during her time away from work.

Tami’s resilience is truly inspiring, and this is our chance to support her in a meaningful way. Any amount you can give will make a difference, helping to ease the financial burden on Tami and her family. Even if you’re unable to donate, sharing the GoFundMe page or leaving a message of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

Let’s rally together to give Tami the support she needs and deserves.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
