Baby Malakai's Home Sending
Donation protected
Meet baby Malakai Ameer Henderson. Born July 2, 2015@ 9:35am to his proud parent's, Marqus Henderson and Anahi Ortega. Malakai was called home to theLord too soon. Although his time with us on this earth was too short, he was loved tremendously and will be truly missed.
As all of us are aware in your pregnancy you are not prepared for such a devastating event to take place. Since very early on we knew there was a slim chance of life.
At 21 weeks, the parents were made aware that there was little to no amniotic fluid around the baby. This complication caused the baby not to develop lungs or kidneys. With no chance of survival, the doctor's urged the family to have an abortion. Stating immediately after birth the baby would pass away.
Even with the all the doctor's opinions, the family kept faith and continued with their pregnancy.
The morning of July 2 nd, 2015 @ 9:35am Malakai Ameer Henderson was born. The doctor's quickly began to assist him and were able to connect him to a ventilator.
However they also discovered a very rare deformity in which the legs are fused together giving the appearance of a mermaid's tail . Known as Sirenomelia (mermaid syndrome).Once again the doctor's informed us alrhough Malakai was breathing through the tube. He was in an extreme amount of pain and would not survive with or without the assitance of the ventilator.
A difficult decision had to be made. The parent's chose not to let their baby boy suffer any longer. The tube was removed and the doctor's said Malakai would pass immediately within minutes. Malakai was true fighter, he survived 4 hours on his own.
Myself Earlene Henderson and Ana Santos, Malakai's grandmother's, as well as the rest of the family are asking for your prayers and any assistance you can provide.
Marqus and Anahi are both employed but neither can manage to gather the necessary means at such a heartbreaking time.
Thank you in advance for your prayers and assistance with this precious matter.
Rest in peace my little angel.
*The families are in the process of trying to arrange his service's.
*No amount is too little.
*We thank you in advance for your prayers and condolences.
