Help Baby Stella

Hi! Thanks for clicking to read about Stella. If you haven't been lucky enough to meet her, hopefully you've met her amazing parents. If you have, I'm sure you know what amazing people they are.

Rachel is my very best friend. She is the person who would wake up in the middle of the night and rush to my house if I needed her without a second thought. She's the kind of person who pulls over on the side of the road to see if someone needs help. She is thoughtful, kind, caring, and selfless.

In July, she welcomed baby Stella into the world 6 weeks prematurely. In these 5 short months, Stella has been hospitalized 5 times for respiratory complications. Despite the hardships her little body has had to fight through she has remained the sweetest, smiliest baby on the planet.

A little over a week ago, she was brought to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and shortly after went into respiratory failure following severe aspiration. Stella is currently in critical condition, intubated (on a ventilator), and sedated. Rachel is unable to work because of the care that Stella’s condition currently requires, and Gio is working hard to keep the family afloat during this difficult time.

There are tons of tests and procedures ahead of them, and Stella has a long road to recovery. She has the most amazing doctors and nurses on her team and we’re hoping she’ll defy the odds and make a full recovery. I am asking for whatever little bit can be donated at this time to help take the pressure off of Rachel and Gio so that they can focus on their girls.
