VISIBLE - A VIRTUAL FUNDRAISER
As an artist , I have always used performance and art to express my emotions. I use drag to tell stories and expose parts of myself that I can’t always verbalize. So I present to you, VISIBLE , a virtual fundraiser . With 100 percent of the proceeds going to Black Lives Matter.
About Black Lives Matter :
#BlackLivesMatter was founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer. Black Lives Matter Foundation, Inc is a global organization in the US, UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes. By combating and countering acts of violence, creating space for Black imagination and innovation, and centering Black joy, we are winning immediate improvements in our lives.
We will be donating specifically to the Canadian chapters of BLM in Vancouver & Toronto & Waterloo.
Thank you to all of the amazing performers and artists that have agreed to be a part of this event. If you have wanted to support black creators- now is the time.
