Caleb and I have never asked our friends for money before. I've only ever fundraised for other people but our family has been hit really hard this week. Our dog, Cora, is in doggie ICU right now after having emergency surgery on Monday for a sudden flipped stomach. We don't know why it happened, but it happened fast. When they opened her up to flip the stomach back there was a great deal of necrotic tissue to complicate matters. Her surgery went from an estimated $ 3k to a total we were not prepared for, and we don't know how many days she will be in the hospital or if she'll make it out. She's fighting but there are so many unknowns ahead. We have Hattie's medical trip to CHOP next week to see her VEO-IBD specialist, so this could not be worse timing for our family. We are trying to get the bills to something we can manage - we are not expecting others to cover the entire cost of Cora's emergency. If you feel inclined, please donate.
