As most of you know Michell has been fighting the ALS monster for over 2 years now. ALS has plagued our family for many generations. Michell has faught hard and is needing help.
She is now receiving nursing care up to 16 hours a day ( we still need to find more help for the 3am to 7am shift; an independent nurse.) She needs a 'sitter' for the hours that aren't being covered. We (her family) will have to pay a person for the 8 hours a day that is not covered under insurance.
The only other option is to place her in nursing home; something she is desperate to not happen. We don't want this either, because we want to honor all of her wishes in the short time that she has left.
