The Torres Family Fund

On Sunday November 8th my wife Leslie passed away.  During her last few weeks here, I had gone to the hospital every single day to visit her after work, tired or not I made it my priority. I felt as if I could feel her slipping away from me everyday, each day her voice sounding more and more weak. I simply could not break the news to my kids who have had her raising them their whole lives. Her last few days, the nurses insisted I bring her home. The plan was to wait until Monday morning, when her sister and father from Peru would arrive, to bring her back home.  But alas, Sunday morning I went to visit her, made her laugh, and she died with a smile on her face.  Then, the next day my mom, my kid's grandparents, was pronounced dead.

She had been fighting the fight of her life with cancer for years, undergoing cancer treatments, radiation, multiple surgeries and more. Leslie was such a beautiful, strong person who took care of our three kids to the best of her ability despite the daily struggle of being in pain and never complained once.  We will be traveling abroad to lay her shes were she wanted, Peru.
