Cancer Sucks!!

I always hoped I would never have to create a Go Fund Me account to ask for help for myself or a family member, but unfortunately some things you can't control and in turn you have to swallow your pride and put yourself out there and ask for help. I am creating this on behalf of my entire family in hopes to help a great father, grandfather and an all around great person.
Three months ago at the 53, our father William (Bill) Jackson was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer (small cell carcinoma) and just started round 2 of his chemo. As expected we were all shocked when we received this news - I wouldn't wish any of this on my worst enemy. There is no way you can prepare yourself emotionally, physically, mentally or financially for this kind of news. Our father has already been admitted to the hospital 2 times and at the moment has a touch of pneumonia which they say is pretty common for people with lung cancer. The appointments are daily and the bills that come along with them even after insurance pays their portion are coming in just as fast along with his other bills.
Anyone that knows our father knows he refuses to ask for any help and is very stubborn. He is the same guy that got released from the hospital after having 2 mini strokes last month and went home and weed whacked his grass. At first, he was very against any type of benefit or anything to help raise money with his medical/financial bills because he has too much pride and would rather be the one helping people instead of asking for help. Our father has worked his entire adult life as a construction worker/roofer and was working up until about 2 months ago - he insists he will be going back to work in 6 months and as much as we love his positive attitude, unfortunately we know that is very unlikely to happen so soon considering he has 6 more rounds of chemo, but we are keeping our fingers crossed, staying positive, saying prayers and taking it all day by day.
I was very hesitant in creating this account and sat on the idea after my aunt brought it up to me for about two weeks, but after seeing the bills coming in and the daily ongoing appointments I knew we had to do whatever we could to help our father and family during this difficult time.
If you cannot donate please know we appreciate you just taking the time to read this and even a positive thought will go a long way. Thank you so much!!!
