In Loving Memory of Angel Vasquez – Helping His Dreams Live On
My name is Jordy Vasquez, and I am raising funds in memory of my beloved brother, Angel Vasquez, who was born on July 14, 2005, and tragically passed away on August 13, 2025 at only 20 years old.
Angel was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, a rare condition where his heart didn’t fully develop during pregnancy. From the moment he was born, he faced enormous challenges. He underwent his first open-heart surgery as a newborn and his parents and family members were told by numerous doctors that he would most likely not survive past only a few months. Despite these staggering odds, his mom fought for him every step of the way. He endured multiple surgeries, countless hospital visits, and years of medical care.
By the time he had his fourth and final open heart surgery around age 10 or 11, Angel had believed that he had overcome the most critical hurdles and embraced life with incredible courage and determination. Raised by a family who took us under their wings and amidst family struggle's, Angel never let these challenges define him. He pursued school, worked a job, and nurtured his passions, especially his love for the car community. He dreamed of building his own car, even purchasing all the parts and a wrap to transform it into something unique, though sadly, he never got the chance to complete it.
Just a week before his passing, Angel was admitted to the hospital for chest pain and shortness of breath. He was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, and after being discharged with medication and medical clearance, he tragically passed away at home less than 48 hours after.
We are creating this GoFundMe to help cover the expenses of Angel’s funeral and other costs that come with such a sudden loss. Additionally, in honor of his passion and dreams, we aim to continue his car project, bringing together family and friends to build the car he always imagined, so his dream lives on just as he would have wanted.
Angel’s life was a testament to resilience, hope, and pursuing what you love despite the odds. He touched the lives of everyone around him with his strength, spirit, and love for life. Your support, whether through a donation or sharing this campaign, will help us celebrate Angel’s life, honor his memory, and keep his dreams alive.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
