Daniel Ross Edmonds Memorial Fund

On December 22, 2015, Daniel Ross Edmonds passed away unexpectedly. Daniel, or as many of us knew him, "Edmonds," was a loving and devoted father, a hard working public servant, a champion of the disenfranchised, and a friend to all who knew him.
Edmonds was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a former firefighter. He had recently started teaching at the high school he graduated from, and he was so proud of his students. In addition to working full time as a high school teacher, he attended the FIU College of Law in the evenings and was set to graduate soon. But the thing that mattered to him most in life was his family, and his two daughters: Layla and Bella.
Going through life without their dad is going to be very difficult, but we hope that by setting up a trust for Layla and Bella we can help ease the financial burden a bit. This Go Fund Me project has been started by his law school classmates so if his family and friends have any photos or information to add, please feel free to add them in the comments or contact the project creator to update the project. Our goal is to raise at least $20,000. We are working with FIU Law professors and alumni to set up a trust, and name a trustee to administer it until the girls come of age. Our goal is to help the girls' families give them the bright future that their dad had planned for them.
Edmonds devoted his life to service. As a combat veteran, a firefighter, and a teacher, Edmonds gave so much. As a lawyer and advocate, he planned to give even more: fighting for the disenfranchised, and working to build a better world for his family. We are honored to be able to give back just a little of what he so selflessly gave to others by helping his girls now and in the future.
