My name is TeaJay Hobbs (they/them) and I've been friends with Kayla West (she/her) since middle school.

Kayla and her four young children have faced unimaginable challenges this year. After surviving a devastating house fire that forced them to leave their home and move to a new state, Kayla has been working hard to rebuild their lives.

She found a better-paying job and rented a home big enough for her family, but just as things were starting to look up, her car was stolen. Without reliable transportation, Kayla is unable to get to work (she needs to be able to commute to client’s homes) and she struggles to take her kids to school. Although her stolen car was recovered, it was totaled, and Kayla had planned to insure it after her first paycheck.

We know how overwhelming and difficult life can be when facing such hardships, especially with four young children depending on you. This GoFundMe is set up to help Kayla purchase a safe used vehicle and pay for the first month of auto insurance so she can continue to work and stay housed.
