Alvin "Smitty" A. Smith Jr. funeral

Recently my father passed away, and he did not have any financial security, life insurance, or savings. Because he believed being a Vet that his final expenses would be covered but only the actual burial is covered.  My disabled Mother is left with my father's final expenses and bills inculding the entire expensive of the his funeral this upcoming week. Below is my father's obituary.

Alvin "Smitty"-"Andy" Andrew Smith Jr.  age 57, passed away peacefully in his sleep due to natural causes on June 25th, 2015 in his home located in New Castle CO.
"Smitty" The son of Joyce and Alvin A Smith Sr; graduated from Westminster high school in 1975. Shortly following school he joined the Navy, where he served 6 years. Upon return from the Navy "Smitty" met the love of his life Karen and they shared 30 plus years together. They shortafter moved to Parachute, CO with their daughter Rhiannen, have settled in New Castle CO in since 1985.
  "Smitty" drove for BFI/Waste Management for over 20 years, then he drove trucks for a couple local truck companies, until his health did not allow him to do so... Which did allow him more time for his true passions which include family, cooking and fishing!
He is survived by his loving wife Karen Smith , their daughter Rhiannen and her husband Richard Pappas, Grandsons Cole, Bryce and Kayne Pappas of New Castle CO. His father Alvin A. Smith Sr. of Jordan MT, Sister Victoria Adams of Greeley CO,  and many extended family and friends!
On July 2nd, 2015 a Viewing will be held from 10am to 11am, and the funeral services will be from 11am to 12pm at Legacy Funeral Home in Grand Junction, CO followed by a burial at Western Colorado Veteran's cemetery at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made directly to the Legacy funeral home in Grand Junction CO to help with his final expenses.
