Growing up in and out of foster care due to my mom being in prison and my dad being an addict, witnessing domestic violence, I told myself this would never be me. Recently, I put too much trust into somebody, and I nearly died. I was pistol-whipped, drugged, and beaten.

I am asking for help to fix my teeth. I am 23 years old and have worked since I was 15 & lived on my own since I was 18, never receiving help from my family or the state. I was held against my will for 2 days, causing me to lose my job. Any finances I have saved have been used to keep my vehicle as well as my home. I can't talk the same, nor can I look at myself in the mirror. I can't find any dentist to work on my mouth for less than $3,000. I'm not asking for a handout, simply just a couple dollars to help me reach my goal, whether it's a check written to my dentist or a donation.
