I am organizing this fundraiser for Tara, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She is facing surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. Tara is an incredible person who is always ready to help others. Her care and compassion for others has always included animals as well. She is well known for her willingness to give her time, humor, strong spirit and professional expertise to relieve suffering wherever it may be. Now it's time for her to receive compassion in return.

Tara will be going into surgery in March, after which she faces ongoing chemo and radiation. As a result, she will not be able to work in her massage therapy profession for quite some time. Between medical bills and loss of income, she is facing a complicated treatment and recovery period.
