Help mama Deb with emergency surgery

Hi, I don’t really know how to start this off as I’ve never created one of these before and I’ve never really been one to ask for help.

Monday night, I called my mom like I always do while I’m making dinner just to sit and talk and be able to see each other. She had told me she had to call out of work that day due to having a really bad pain in her mouth, but she had made an appointment for the dentist. Fast forward to Wednesday, I get a call that my mother is in the ER with an abscess under her tongue and she would be getting transported to another hospital in the cities. Upon arrival, she was intubated and rushed off to emergency surgery where they then found necrotizing tissue, which would mean they would need to do yet another surgery the following day. Today, she had a tube placed into the side of her neck to drain excess fluids that have built up. Because of this, she is remaining intubated and under anesthesia until she can breathe on her own.

Today, I learned that she has already been out of work for a week. Due to having surgeries, she will also need to take time off of work for a few more weeks and already didn’t have PTO time saved up. Anything donated will go directly towards paying for her surgery and hospital bills while she sedated as it will be for a while. I will also be taking care of her other bills that are not being paid while she is not awake.

I know a lot of you know my mom personally, she isn’t one to ask for help, but she is always there when someone needs something.

If there is anything that anyone can do to help her out, even if it’s $1 or sharing this post to get more attention for it, that would be greatly appreciated. I just want her to be able to come home and know that things are taken care of and she can focus on getting better.
