Help during James' recovery

On Monday, June 22nd James was removing a sign from a cast iron post with a concrete saw. As James made the last cut, the sign fell (as these things often do) in an unexpected direction and hit the ladder. As the ladder came out from under him the saw he was using hit his left forearm slicing down to the bone. James is left handed so this is his dominate hand.

It was the best of the worst case injury and the nerve was only slightly damaged. If you can handle it, the video shows how deep the laceration is. James sliced through five muscles of which the surgeon said three were critical for arm/hand use along with 10-15% of the nerve. It is a huge blessing that the nerve wasn't damaged more as it could have meant near complete loss of the use of his arm.

Thankfully, after two months he will be on his way back to normal. However, the next two months are beyond stressful as we just moved from Missouri to Arizona this last year and started our own business. For the most part, things have been going very well and business was growing steadily. However, business is 100% dependent on James being able to lift and pick up heavy objects. We found out today that he is out for about two months before he can return to work.

Did I mention, we are also in the process of moving in the next 30 days and having to deal with our lease expiring and trying to find a new home? We were supposed to be out June 30 and that didn't happen. Some of the reason for higher expenes right now is because we have to move RIGHT NOW too. Sigh...

The orginal goal is what James is estimated to have provided to the family between last week through the end of August (10 weeks). Basically, one of us covered both car payments, rent and food and the other all other household expenses. We already explored a few options to make a dent but unfortuantely did not find succes. Just don't know what else to do right now.

We will keep trying to find ways to trim the budget so that number is smaller  with food banks or whatever massive couponing and other cost cutting measures that can be done. That number is based on what we used before. We are taking a step back and looking at everything regarding the business and how to move forward.  Once we move, our gas budget drops which will help but again I don't know when that will happen.

We are truly grateful for any help to get through these few months while he's healing. We both thank you for considering any amount that you can share. We are genuinely grateful for your help.
