Hello everyone, my name is Osama. I’m a 34-year-old Egyptian with a deep love for life, rhythm, and community. Before my life took an unexpected turn two years ago, I was constantly on the move—working, traveling, and connecting with people. I was always hands-on, thriving in active roles that gave me a sense of freedom and purpose.
Then came the accident. A moment that changed everything. I lost my right leg, and with it, the ability to move as I once did. I became bedridden, facing not only physical pain but the emotional weight of starting over.
But even through this, I never lost my spirit.
I still sing, play medicine songs, and drum on the djembes that connect me to the pulse of life. I join music jams whenever I can—thank God I still have my hands. Music keeps my soul alive, and reminds me every day that joy, connection, and healing are still possible.
After the accident, I left Cairo. The well-meaning pity of society made me feel like I could never live a “normal” life there again. I needed space to heal—away from that pressure. So I moved to the natural reserve of Abu Ghalloum in Sinai, where I now live and work at Makany Makanak Camp, a peaceful haven by the Red Sea. I manage the camp’s coffee and juice bar, pouring not just drinks, but heart and hospitality into everything I do.
Life has also brought other challenges. My father passed away, and now my mother depends on my brother and me to take care of our home. This responsibility fuels my determination to stand tall again—literally.
That’s why I’m reaching out to you.
I need your help to purchase a prosthetic leg that costs $30,000. It’s not just a limb—it’s a lifeline. It means walking, working freely, dancing again, serving guests at the camp with ease, and most of all, reclaiming the independence that was taken from me.
Any amount you can give brings me closer to this dream. Every dollar is a step. Every share of this message is a gift.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, for caring, and for being part of this journey with me. Let's remember the power of the butterfly effect—your support today can ripple out and transform a life.
With love and rhythm,
Osama
