On the night of January 17, 2016, our lives were forever changed. Nick was unexpectedly shot while making a purchase at the dollar store in La Porte. He was rushed to a local hospital and has been in ICU since. He is making progress and recovering, but has a very long road ahead of him. Thankfully, Nicholas does have insurance and will qualify for disability until he is completely healed, however it is going to put them in a financial hardship. His fiance, Carolyn, has not left his side and is having to go back to work due to being out of sick days and trying to juggle the finances. The funds raised will help them with any bills that cannot be covered and it will supplement any pay that his fiance will be without ,while she is trying to stay with him as much as possible. Nick has the biggest heart. He is known for his sarcasm but also his love to make people happy. He has never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back! Carolyn has been over whelmed with all the love, support and prayers! She is grateful for everyone's sweet concerns and very thankful. Please continue to have them in your prayers. It's a long road but with the trust in our beloved God...We believe!
