Coming Back Home!!!

After months of being ill and nearly 2 months in 5 separate hospitals, I FINALLY get to come home. Everything seemed to happen so quickly and unexpectedly. While I knew I was ill, I had no idea of the full extent. I had not been able to hold down food in weeks and my body was just slowly wasting away. A week or so before my hospital admission, my feet started to swell and the swelling slowly started to creep up my body and nothing I did helped. I started to lose my ability to walk and was falling and needed help to get up. Jeff finally insisted I go to the ER and I relented. Turns out my organs were shutting down and I was likely within 3 days of losing my life. Since starting my hospital journey, I have had multiple surgeries and procedures, lost 70 pounds of water weight (plus an additional 20 lbs), had a feeding tube placed in my stomach, and participated in PT & OT. I've fought back from near death and from crawling on the floor to learning to walk again (albeit slowly and with much more work to do as my body is extremely weak). Jeff has been playing the role of both mom and dad and has been holding everything together which isn't easy. Our support system has been amazing and so many people have asked how they can help and we didn't really have an answer at the time. After much thought, some tears, and prayers, we've decided to start this go fund me. We do have Jeff's income which we are so grateful for. Our savings have carried us thus far, but as a realtor, I am 100% commission based meaning if I don't work and sell a house, I do not get paid. And in my current condition, I will not be permitted to work for the remainder of the year and maybe some into next year as well. I am also facing multiple surgeries later this year into next year which will further complicate our finances and my health needs and ability to help with household needs and parenting.  On top of the mountain of medical bills we've already incurred, we hope to get funds to help cover our basic needs. I am still in serious medical condition and will continue to fight my illness for the foreseeable future. So any funds we receive will be used for travel dirge to travel to appointments in Cleveland/Akron/Medina/etc and to provide me with 2 pre-made meals Monday-Friday so I can continue to fight the malnutrition, allowing my body and damaged heart to heal.  I also need to purchase a number of medical devices including a wheelchair, walker, bedside commode, tube feeding supplies, wound care supplies, toilet riser, PT supplies, diabetic shoes, medical exercise bike, hand and ankle weights, and more. We would also use funds to purchase dinner meals during the week as I am not yet able to cook and Jeff already has so much on his plate. I am hoping to gain some strength in a few months to help with more household items like this. Many have asked if we could set up something like this so we humbly request help if possible while I am recovering at home with no income for the foreseeable future. Thank you!
