My family and I rescued a puppy when he was 11 weeks old. His name is Sammie. At his first vet appointment, we found out he had a heart murmur, so an echocardiogram was performed to see exactly what was going on. He was diagnosed with Pulmonic Stenosis, which is a narrowing of one of his valves in his heart. This makes his heart work harder and not function properly. It is being recommended to have a Balloon Valvuloplasty where they run a catheter into his heart and expand that valve to get his heart to function normally. Surgery for this is up to $6500. Without surgery, his life expectancy is only a few years, or possible sudden death. We lost all our pets in a house fire in October of 2024. So, hearing this news has been extremely upsetting because we are so bonded to him already and want to do anything we can to provide him the best life possible. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Surgery needs to be done as soon as possible.
If he is no longer a surgical candidate, the money raised would be donated to a local rescue or shelter.
