Help Mom Come Home

Hi, my name is Samantha Chapman and I can't believe it's come to this. This is a 2 part story as to why we're asking for help.

5 years ago my now wife was diagnosed with Degenerative Disk Disease and within 6 months of a diagnosis she could no longer work full time. She's had spine surgery, but it never helped, so she hasn't been able to work at all in roughly 3 years, so we've been living on only my one income.

Fast forward to last week, I found out my mother has internal bleeding. She came to stay with us on Friday, and by Saturday night she was so weak she fell and almost electrocuted herself by breaking a plugin in the process of falling. Sunday evening she had stroke symptoms so we had to call 911. She's been admitted to hospital for tests, and are now waiting tests to find out what we're dealing with before moving forward.

She will likely need to move into our home permanently, and modifications will likely be needed to help keep some of her independence.

I have been so anxious about not knowing what's happening to my not so old mother, I've been unable to work full time.

We are not the kind to ask for help, but we are at a loss at this point and don't know what else to do.

Any help we receive will go to paying for her ambulance trip, any modifications to our home, as well as help cover bills until I'm able to get back on both feet.
