Hi, my name is Christina, and I'm reaching out with love and heartbreak to ask for support for my father Joseph Degennaro, who has been fighting for his life for the past five months.

After suffering a devastating brain stem stroke, he remained in a fragile, unconscious state. Over time, he showed signs of awareness—opening his eyes, reacting to my voice, and silently fighting every single day.

But now, everything has changed.

My father is in kidney failure, and the doctors have told us he is too weak for dialysis. We've been asked to prepare for the worst. My heart is breaking, but I am still by his side, loving him through each moment.

We are heartbroken and doing our best to stay strong. My mother—his loving wife—has been by his side every step of the way. This is not only a devastating time emotionally but also financially overwhelming for her and our family.

As we hold on to every moment we have left, I am also beginning to prepare for the possibility of saying goodbye. We are doing what we can to keep him comfortable, manage his care, and plan ahead for funeral and burial arrangements, so he can be honored with love and dignity.
