Hi everyone, my name is Jaci, and I’m writing this on behalf of my amazing mom, and best friend in the world, Kerry. As many of you know, our family recently received news that has turned our world upside down: My mom has been diagnosed with metastatic cancer, affecting her liver, kidney, lung, along with a tumor on her cheek and neck. She will be starting radiation tomorrow on her cheek and neck, while the doctor's try and figure out the source of the cancer to get a better picture of how to treat it. Along with this diagnosis, she has been unable to eat and unable to walk, so I have been caring for her full time while I continue to try and work as I'm trying to cope with this very scary diagnosis. Just a couple short months ago, my mom was very active, working 7 days a week, so this is all happening faster than we can even process it.

For those who know her, you know that my mom is the heart of our family. She is the strongest, most selfless person I know, and my dad, my brother, and I are praying for the best possible outcome for my mom. She has spent her life taking care of everyone else, and now, it’s our turn to take care of her.

The road ahead is going to be very long and unpredictable.

As of now, her treatment plan includes daily radiation followed by chemotherapy. While she is staying incredibly brave and positive, the physical and financial toll is already starting to mount.

We are starting this fund to help alleviate the financial burden so my mom can focus entirely on her health. The funds raised will go directly toward:

​Out-of-pocket insurance costs.

​Monthly living expenses while she is unable to work.

​Supportive care and medications not covered by insurance.
