BGP Brave New Voices Team

For the past two years, NEPA students have competed at the Brave New Voices International Poetry Slam & Festival. BNV will be held in Atlanta this summer, and we are turning to our community to help us raise the final amount needed to take the entire team, including mentors.
Brave New Voices is a multi-round poetry competition, with a focus on youth networking and exposure to writing workshops, artists, educators and other poets from around the world. This year we were one of 55 teams selected to compete. Over 80 teams from around the world applied - and we are honored to represent the youth of NEPA!
Contributions will cover registration fees, flight costs, and hotel rooms for 12 on the night prior to BNV registration. Because of our community's early support, we've committed to traveling with a team of 12, which includes non-competing students as well. (6 competing poets + 3 entourage + 2 mentors + 1 photographer)
