Jewel’s Recovery

Hi, my name is Michaela and as some of you know, my mother Jewel has been struggling with osteoarthritis in her knee. The knee is bone on bone which has been painful and put a halt to her life as she knew it. She turns 70 soon and this past year she has awaited surgery, while moving mostly on crutches, unable to play much with her grandchildren and unable to work.

On the bright side she is finally getting her surgery! On March 4th she will undergo the long awaited full knee replacement. Although this is promising a sense of normalcy again, this is also an intense recovery period.

While recovering, I don’t want her to worry about cooking and cleaning and have the ease of ordering some meals as well as having someone come in and clean here and there.

These funds will be to support her recovery with the help she needs and a peace of mind to focus on getting back on her feet!
