Back to School Supplies Giveaway

Back to school should be an exciting time for all students as they prepare for a new school year, reunite with old friends, and continue along their educational journey into a new grade . Unfortunately, that is not the reality for many students as back to school has been the source of anxiety for low income families. Not having new clothes or supplies can make students feel judged as their families may not have the means to afford these things.

Furthermore, back to school can be a stressful time for parents as requirements for supplies increases, in turn becoming more expensive for families.

As a member of this community, my goal is for us to come together and lighten the load on families by providing essential school supplies. This includes 100+ backpacks filled with pencils, paper, crayons, and other necessary supplies for students to feel prepared for the new school year.

I would like your help in making this happen by donating any amount you are able to contribute so that supplies can be purchased and handed out during our free Haircut event on September 1st at Mi Gente's Barbershop at 2349 Andrews Ave, North Bronx, 10468 from 10am to 3pm.
