Hello, my name is Sofia. I am starting this go fund me for my dog Cookie (8yr old yorkie x) to help with the cost of her knee surgery. She tore her CCL which is her ACL and dislocated her kneecap. She needs both TPLO surgery and MPL surgery. Edmonton west is a bit more than 4K without tax so we’re in a bit of a pickle. We know Cookie needs this surgery to fully recover, but with the rising cost of living and me being a student I am unable to cover the full cost if the surgery. I’m currently working part time picking up extra shifts when I can while in school to save up for this surgery. I am hoping to find a clinic that may be able to provide the same treatment for a more cost efficient price. Hopefully we can get the ball rolling to get Cookie better.

A little info about Cookie… we adopted her from an elderly women last summer. From the moment I met cookie I knew she was coming home with me. I saw her on kijiji months prior and I showed my friend saying how much I wanted to adopt her. I messaged the owner and they said someone already is picking her up so I went about my life like normal. I saw Cookie’s face again show up on my Facebook feed on a rehoming pets page it was the same women with the same dog! I messaged her right away hoping I could get her to remember me. Well she did and I was able to pick up Cookie the next day! When I went to pick her up she came right up to my car ( she was a farm pup ) and hopped into my car no problem. I knew we were gonna be best friends after that. She is the best dog ever but I may be biased. I cant wait to go on camping adventures and paddle boarding with her this summer I’m hoping with the surgery we can still do everything she deserves to be spoiled!
