Tribute To Derek

On Sunday, June 23rd, Derek unexpectedly passed away. Derek and Kelly had just moved back to Michigan 3 weeks ago and both were incredibly happy to be back with family.
Derek had a deep love and affection for his family and friends and we are all shocked and saddened by the sudden loss of our husband, brother and friend.
Derek spent 40 years on this earth, leaving indelible marks wherever and with whoever he came across. It was not uncommon to have 3 hour conversations about whatever interested him that day or be completely blindsided by his generosity, thoughtfulness, or level of wisdom that he provided. Words cannot express how much we’ll miss Derek. One person will more than others, and that is why I’m opening this up.
Kelly. Derek and Kelly had a love that you just don’t see everyday. It was immediate, intense and infinite. A bad car accident has left Kelly unable to work for the past so many years and with Derek gone, her income barely covers her basic essentials. We are trying to cover the vast expenses that are associated with the costs that come along with these situations and we’re asking for your help. If there is any money left over after funeral costs, every penny will go to Kelly to help with her new life.
We cannot express the the gratitude we have for the outpouring of support we have received and how much it has helped us through the last few days. Thank you all.
