Help Jamaica Recover from Hurricane Melissa ❤️
Hi everyone, my name is Kadine Brown, born and raised in Jamaica and now living in Florida. My love for Jamaica and its people runs deep. After witnessing the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, I felt called to take action and help families rebuild their lives.
Entire communities across several parishes have been left struggling — homes destroyed, roads washed away, and many families without food, clean water, or basic supplies. Hearing the stories and seeing the photos from loved ones back home has been heartbreaking, and I knew I had to step in.
All funds raised will be personally managed by me and used to either purchase and ship essential supplies from Florida or buy them directly in Jamaica, depending on cost and availability. These items include:
• Food and clean drinking water
• Baby essentials (diapers, formula, wipes)
• Hygiene and first-aid supplies
• Bedding and clothing for displaced families
• Barrel, shipping, and customs-clearing costs when applicable
I plan to travel to Jamaica from time to time to personally oversee the purchase and distribution of supplies. In areas I cannot reach, trusted volunteers and community contacts will assist in delivering items to ensure donations go directly to those in need. Every contribution will be handled with transparency, supported by photos, receipts, and regular updates.
A Bigger Vision: Rebuilding Homes
Beyond immediate relief, my goal is to begin rebuilding lives — starting with the purchase of one container home, costing $3,500 USD, to provide a safe, secure place for a family who has lost everything.
As additional funds become available, I plan to purchase more container homes in the future, helping more families regain stability and comfort.
This mission comes from the heart. ❤️ Every cent counts, every prayer helps, and every donation brings hope back to the people of Jamaica.
Thank you for standing with me — and with Jamaica — as we rebuild, restore, and rise together.
