Hello, my name is Colleen Page I am a daughter of a Jamaican born citizen which is my Father. I as well have my dual citizenship in Jamaica. I would like to assist in raising funds for my family and other alike after this major Hurricane Melissa that has devastated the country of Jamaica . I have partnered with PrecisionHealth to bring a team of volunteers that would like travel to Jamaica as well as local friends and family that are experienced in construction. We made our first visit in January and I will be returning in March after seeing first hand the damage leaving so many families without .
I have multiple loved ones in my father’s family who currently reside in Jamaica and have been severely affected by the astronomical impact Hurricane Melissa has left on their homes and land. This is very close to my heart because my family resides in the area of Westmoreland Betheltown, St Elizabeth and St. Andrew and has lost just about everything. The homes are completely destroyed . The Betheltown community had been ripped apart
I would like to be of help to my family as well as other families that live in Jamaica by providing funds for essentials such as food, clothing, school supplies for children, medical supplies, and hygiene items, as well as generators for electricity and supplies like lumbar, zinc, plywood to rebuild their homes. With enough donations we would like to rebuild their home of atleast one family with small children
As my family and many other Jamaican families that live in the countryside depend on farming as a means of income, which has also been lost, any small amount will help to assist with travel ,rebuilding their homes, businesses and lives as this time will be a great struggle for them. I appreciate and thank all that will support these efforts!
