Hi everyone, my name is Haley I am friends with Olivia! Two weeks ago Olivia was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis. She was sedated and put on a ventilator. They knew that it was something to do with her brain but wasn’t sure what at the time. They spent the week in the hospital and Olivia was later diagnosed with autoimmune encephalitis. Which is inflammation in the brain due to a strain of the shingles virus. She spent the weekend in the hospital resting and was given lots of meds and was able to go home on Monday. At her follow up appt that week they saw there was something wrong with her kidneys. Which put Olivia back in the hospital for the second time this week. Tests today show her kidneys are operating on less than 50 percent function. They aren’t sure what is causing this to her kidneys. She has a long road to recovery. And it is going to be tough. But Olivia is strong and she will get through this!
I am fundraising for this family because I have know them for a very long time and I know that this time is going to be tough for them. There are many appointments that they need drive back and forth to the cities. The hospital stays. They multiple doctors they will needs to see. As well as Brandy and Tony haven’t been able to work since this has happened. It’s a lot and anything will help them! Please send prayers of fast healing and strength!! Olivia needs all the love she can get!
