On June 25, 2025, Lauren was diagnosed with Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (Breast Cancer) while 27 weeks pregnant with our second baby girl. Yes, this is an extremely shocking and heartbreaking diagnosis, but the cancer was found pretty early and is quite treatable.

Even though we know that cancer picked a fight with the wrong gal, there is quite a rough road ahead of us. So far, we know the following things are on the horizon: chemotherapy, baby delivery, mastectomy, radiation therapy, hormone therapy, and potential reproductive surgery to eliminate future cancer risks. Needless to say, we are facing quite the financial burden with this diagnosis all while trying to support our growing family.

Lauren is working very closely with her amazing care team to make sure we get ahead of this disease, all while making sure the beginning treatments are effective for Mama and safe for our unborn baby girl.
