A member of my extended family and her two young daughters fled from a domestic violence situation in another state and were brought back to her home state, where she has a strong family support system.  She filed for divorce and we thought they could get on with their lives. 

Unbelievably, now a judge in the state where she lived has ordered her and the girls to return by mid-July to face her abusive husband. She has to remain in that state for at least three months while the divorce moves through the courts. With a limited source of income (part-time online), she has very little money to get back there, as well as pay for housing and food. She also fears for her safety. He has vowed to make things extremely difficult for her and the girls.

We don't know what to do now beyond complying with the court order to return. Right now he is winning. He gets to continue to abuse her by removing her from her entire support system, making her find and pay for affordable short-term housing, costing her more money by making her travel unnecessarily, etc.

Family members are helping as much as they can, but it's difficult for all. I am asking anyone with a compassionate heart to help this domestic violence victim get back on her feet and survive this nightmare until she can  come back home to the rest of us. Any amount, no matter how small, will be much appreciated.
