Mitch Turners final arrangements. Please help us say goodbye

This is a fundraiser for my husband of nearly 27 years. He was diagnosed with aggressive stage four colorectal cancer a while back. Over the past few years he has battled strong and hard. After several surgeries from the very onset to the removal of the last tumors that had metastasized to his lungs he tried his best to stay strong. The final straw was when it moved into his bones and they began to break just him putting weight on them.

They say "Cancer Sucks". But I don't believe people truly understand that catch phrase until they realize that it envelopes your entire life. It's not just the feeling sick, the side effects of all the medications including the various chemotherapies, the daunting visits to and from the hospital and doctors, the lack of quality of life that gets worse no matter how hard you fight. And what it does to the people around you. I have been my husband's caregiver and did the best I could. Saying cancer sucks is an understatement. But it also teaches patience and grace. It makes you learn that you are so much stronger than you think. Everyone has their own personal experience.....ours is very complex and simple all at once. I loved my husband. I will miss him forever. And I'm thankful he is at peace.

There was an initial paragraph on this fundraiser when it first posted. I believe when I made an update I unknowingly deleted it. I apologize for that and can't find the words to repeat it. The loss is too raw right now.

Thank you to Mercy Health Hospice ans all the doctors and nurses that took care of him. Your dedication and dare I say tolerance of his bad jokes and flirting with the nurses will always be appreciated. Chucking with others was one of his favorite things.

He was so many things. Mostly , he was a good man and very human. Please help us take care of him and his final wishes if you can. Thanks you so much ~Amanda

Here Mitch is appx 2 weeks ago at home in his medical bed.... The cancer moving to his bones so fast caused fractures to his knee. He had a good fall due to that and broke his nose as well. We called him bruiser for a few days lol.
Hi everyone. I am fundraising for my husband and our family. He has been battling stage 4 colorectal cancer for a couple years now. It has moved to his lymph nodes, lungs, and very recently and aggressively his bones. I had to place him in hospice this past week and we are not going to have much more time with him. I am also having to plan out future the things such as end of life arrangements. I do not have any type of insurance or income to cover these type of expenses. We really thought we would have more time. But here it is. My husband of nearly 28 years is going to be gone soon. He has been a challenge through the years lol. We have had our ups and downs and somehow we made it through. Despite everything he has been the love of my life. And I'm asking for help taking care of him. I'm asking now before we get to that point so that I can prepare for it and put him a little at ease. A couple.of.weeks goes fast. I really don't know what else to say
I just don't know. My heart is breaking. And me and my daughter are doing the best we can to try to make it through. If you can contribute we would really appreciate it. I will keep everybody updated on his prognosis. Right now he is comfortable with extended morphine and dilaudid. Hopefully that will see him through to the end. Please help us if you can.
