Help Pablo Walk Again

Hello, my name is Taralyn Pete, and together with my mom, Leti Huertero-Gray, we're organizing this GoFundMe for our Dad/Grandpa Pablo. Recently, due to complications from an occluded bypass in his leg, he underwent a below-the-knee amputation. It was an incredibly difficult decision, but one that he faced with the same courage and grace that has defined his life.

Pablo is in a physical therapy program and is giving his all every single day, look at him doing yoga at 87 years old (an icon). His goal is simple but powerful: to walk again, regain his independence and returning to the simple joys of daily life—especially working in his garden. One of my favorite things about going home to visit is walking through each new plant, flower, vegetable he planted and seeing how proud he is of it.

While insurance is helping cover part of the cost unfortunately it doesn't cover a high quality prosthetic—the kind that is essential for Pablo to lead an active pain free lifestyle and to avoid complications in the future. We are asking for your help to cover the out of pocket expenses for a high quality prosthetic leg and related medical costs.
