Hello everyone,
My little brother Jonathan’s 5 year old Australian cattle dog rescue Banjo unfortunately needs to have a bilateral CrCL (equivalent of ACL in humans) repair as a result of an aggressive dog attack. This is otherwise known as TPLO, Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy which is going to cost ~$12000 total. This is a surgery that involves actually breaking her leg and is a prolonged recovery with physical therapy etc.
Back story: Banjo was attacked while she was walking on a leash on Jon’s road by a neighbors dog, suffering multiple lacerations and injuring her right CrCL. As a result of that injury she put increased stress on her left CrCL and tore it a few weeks ago and is essentially unable to walk. She now needs to have this surgery to have any quality of life moving forward, and to be able to run and chase balls like she was born to do. And believe me she was born to run.
The owner of the dog that attacked Banjo was taken to court for the original injuries which cost over $3000 and is now liable for that but has yet to pay any funds (and is moving to another state so unlikely any money will be received).
Please consider donating any amount to help Banjo get back to doing what she loves doing the most!!!
