In August 2025, our friend and colleague, Jason Davies, was involved in a life-changing accident that has forever altered his life and the lives of those closest to him.
Jason sustained a broken neck, which initially left him paralysed from the neck down. He is currently undergoing extensive rehabilitation at Llandough Hospital. Through sheer determination and intensive therapy, Jason has made encouraging progress and can now feel and move the upper part of his body. He is also able to use a wheelchair as part of his recovery journey.
Jason’s family have been advised that, for him to be able to return home, significant adaptations must be made to the family house. These include major changes to the kitchen and bathroom, installation of a chair lift, widening of doorways for wheelchair access, a possible extension, and adaptations to the garden to create rear access to the property.
The cost of these essential modifications is considerable and completely unexpected. For this reason, we have set up this GoFundMe page to help support Jason and his family during this incredibly challenging time.
At present, Jason is unable to have home visits because his house cannot accommodate his needs. With your support, we hope to make the necessary changes so that Jason can return home and continue rebuilding his life in an environment that supports his independence.
Any donation, no matter how small, would make a meaningful difference in helping them create a safe, accessible home for Jason where he can recover with his beautiful family.
