Arabella's Vision

Hi my name is Arabella, I am a six month old kitten.
My foster mom calls me her miracle kitten.
My story starts in the late summer of 2015. My family (my nursing mom, my auntie and 9 other kittens) and I were left abandoned in a very hot apartment with no food or water.
Some neighbors heard us crying. They called PAWS Wakefield for help. We were rescued that night.
I was rushed to the animal hospital because I was lethargic, my eye was bleeding , and I was severly dehydrated.
The vet said he believed my eye had ruptured because of a severe untreated eye infection and possibly from the heat in the apartment we were left in. I was also found to be severly anemic. My blood loss was because I was infested with fleas. I was then brought to an emergency hospital where I spent several days in an incubator having blood transfusions.
I am now strong enough to have the surgeries that I need.
I am going to see an opthalmologist to have my eyes evaluated.
I know that I need to have my right eye removed, but they are going to try to save my left eye.
I remain hopeful that I will continue to have limited vision in my left eye, because I so enjoy trying to catch that red dot that mom has me chasing, and playing with my toy mice & balls.
I refuse to let this disability slow me down! I love to play. I love to snuggle with my family and I purr my way into the heart of everyone I meet!!
I know that seeing an eye specialist and whatever surgeries I need - and all the medical treatments I've already had - will cost PAWS at least $5000.00.
Please considering donating to my cause!
Thank You,
Love Arabella
