Dear Friends and Family,
I hope this message finds you well. I'm reaching out to share some unexpected news and ask for your support during a challenging time in my life.
This past Saturday, I experienced a serious accident that resulted in a shattered-like-confetti heel. If you must know, I jumped a wall and stuck the landing in the style of Kerri Strug, minus the gold medal. This injury has left me unable to walk and requires extensive bed rest, err, laying on the floor with my leg in the air, for the next month to two months until it fully heels. Err, heals.
The recovery process is not only physically painful but also financially… I was hoping to be able to continue at least a small amount of massage therapy (as I truly love this work!), but the orthopedic surgeon explicitly communicated, much to my chagrin, that this was completely out of the question. Along with medical bills and rehabilitation, I still have everyday expenses like rent and bills that need to be covered. Unfortunately, it’s currently impossible for me to meet these financial obligations on my own.
That's why I'm turning to you, this community of friends and family, for support… as appalling as it feels. I've set up this GoFundMe campaign with the hope of raising $2500 to help cover my rent, expenses, and some of those medical bills that have so verdantly cropped up.
Your generosity and kindness would mean the world to me as I navigate this tricky and admittedly intimidating path of recovery. Even something small is significant in alleviating some of the stress and worry I'm currently facing.
If you're unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this to spread the word, and, in all seriousness, your thoughts and prayers are genuinely appreciated by me.
Thank you from the bottom of my gut for taking the time to read my story and consider supporting me through this challenge. Your love and encouragement keep me going… I'm truly grateful to have such amazing people in my life. Everybody falls down, but all the king’s men and horses are nothing compared to you.
With all my heart,
